San Joaquin County Sheriffs office attempted to stop a stolen vehicle. A vehicle pursuit ensued through neighborhoods with speeds reaching over 65 plus. Spike strip'S were deployed and the subject was stopped and was tased after a short foot pursuit by CHP.

Their is a lot of information on the site, take your time, browse through it add the site to you favorites as the site will also be updated with new content as it happens.

I truly hope that any visitor who visits this site does find some value in the site, and understands that knowing what is going in your neighborhood or city is your right, and or some take the view the scanning is a hobby, I just like the scanner this is why I do what I do.

Stockton Police Warning Unauthorized Use of Police Radio Channels

Stockton Police warning users from breaking and using the Stockton Radio Freq. This was dispatched on all five channels around 1630 01/24/10. This was a warning to all non police or civilians authorized to use the Stockton Police Channels that if they do so they face federal charges and that it risk the ablity of the officer's to be able to use the radio when their is an emergency, due to the unauthorized traffic.

This is the radio traffic from the two motor officers killed in Oakland. This recording was made possible by RadioReference.com. Two Oakland Police Motor units attempted to stop a subject and he opened fire on the officers killing them both in the 7400 block of MacArthur Blvd.

The subject apparently shot both officers while they were still near their motor bikes. This part 3 of the situation and Part 3 includes the SWAT attempt to take the subject into custody. The subject shot two more officers before being mortally wounded himself.

Robbery Suspects taken into custody 01/13/10

Two teen tried to evade police after committing several armed robberies. Both subjects were taken into custody after a perimeter was set up and both the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Department and the Stockton Police Department worked together to bring these two dangerous individuals into to custody. Money and the weapon used was recovered.

Short Stolen Veh Pursuit Terminated by Officer 01-04-10

The Valley Units {CHP/Police/SJ S/O} Anti Theft team spotted a vehicle with a lost or stolen plate on the vehicle. There was another car associated with the car that once the plate was ran came back 10851. The original car stopped, however the other car did not stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated by the pursing officer, he felt the speeds and the conditions were to dangerous.

A large amount of money and other item were discovered in the vehicle that did stop for the police.

This was a good call by the police, and they did a professional job in doing their duties. Good job SPD.

Charleston Police Pursuit turns tragic when officer is hit by friendly fire.

A police pursuit was iniated. Subject took Charleston police on a wild ride, attempting to ram several of their patrol cars. The pursuit terminated with shots fired, subject hit, and an officer was struck by crossfire. Both officer and subject died.

The officers actions on the scene were heroic and they did not leave their partner alone, nor did they give up working on him eveywhich way they could and new how to.

Welcome to Scanstockton.com, I appreciate your visit to this site. Ok-to navigate the site is very easy, on the right hand side of the site are sections that each deal with a specific function. For instance "Back to Main Page"-will of course take you to the Main Page. Below the Back button is a link that users who are not familiar with the Police radio codes used by the Stockton Police and Sheriffs, can click this link and they will be taken to a page that contains a lot of information that will help listening to scanner radio traffic. Please note that this is just a general idea of what the codes mean, some of them may or may not be correct. No Codes dealing with officer safety are displayed--this is to protect the police on the streets.

The Media Player, if a user press on it will open up a small window that will display every recorded call that is posted on this site. Use the Play list button to scroll through all the hosted recordings and if you find one that you would like to listen to then simply press on the link displaying the call information. If you want to navigate to the next recording then use this button >>|, if you want to navigate backwards then use |<< button.

The Public Safety Links consist of all the law enforcement agencies in San Joaquin County--if I have forgotten one the please let me know. These links are just for your information and can help you find out about certain things that are being offered in your area, or different technologies being offered, as well allow you to contact your local police department.

The "LIVE SCANNER FEED" allows any visitor of this site to listen to real time scanner radio traffic being broadcast from my scanner and being streamed by RadioReference.com for free. If you are listening live from ScanStockton.com, you cannot navigate away from the page or you will loose the connection. If you become a Premium member of RadioReference.com, you can access archived files of 24 hour recorded scanner traffic for up to 28 days--this of course means the scanner must have been broadcasting with no issues or there were not outages. My scanner feed has a good history of being up almost 100 percent of everyday. Please keep in mind that everything from the scanner being broadcast, to it being streamed relies on computer technology, and for whatever reason any time there can be an issue causing disruption, or the feed to stop, or there to be a gap in times for archived files.

A subject exited his home and opened fire on two officers--one of which was able to return fire. At around 2030 hours excited his home and was shot by several officers. The subject was armed when he left his home both times he excited .

Sacramento County Sheriff's sergeant kills subject 12-08-09

SACRAMENTO (CBS13)

A Sacramento County Sheriff's sergeant shot and killed a suspect who had apparently called officers for help during a fight with his own mother.

The shooting happened in the 4700 block of 50th Ave. around 10:30am this morning. The Sacramento County Sheriff's department spokesperson says the officers were called to the Sun Valley Apartments this morning by the suspect in his 20's who was involved in a fight with his mother.

When officers arrived, the altercation escalated. The son apparently hit the Sheriff's sergeant in the head and the officer fired his weapon killing the man. The sergeant suffered minor injuries.

A few minutes later, the suspect's brother arrived and officers used their taser on him when he broke through the crime scene tape, according to the Sheriff's Department. The brother was then arrested.

Subject Attempts to Ram Pursuing SPD Officers-12/01/2009

SPD attempts to stop a vehicle and the subject flees and then attempts to ram pursuing officers. Subject leg bails and then resist when officers are able to apprehend him. The pursuit ended with no one getting hurt and the subject being taken into custody.

Early Morning Stockton Police Pursuit of subjects who ran from a traffic stop. Pursuit ends in North Stockton neighborhood with two subjects taken into custody after a brief foot bail and chase. Speeds reached almost 70 mph through neighborhoods. No one was injured, and both subjects were in custody.
